Mass Production of Web Services

MPWS defines a technique to turn parametrisable command-line applications into web services. Compared to other such approaches, it focuses less on the execution of the applications as SOAPlab is used for this task. Instead, it considers the generation of semantic service descriptions with information about non-functional properties. This information is retrieved by source code and manual page analysis.

MPWS was created as a Diploma thesis result in early 2010. It currently operates on a virtual server with all services being registered at Crowdserving.
